Challenge
Core tasks required navigating deep menu structures with no way finding, inconsistent interaction patterns across modules, and no inline guidance.
Tranched V01 was built for internal use to be displayed to clients and investors.
Built CEO-to-engineering and without a design system or a UX flow to follow, the challenge was to redesign everything from the ground up without throwing away all the work done so far.
Goal
Despite the prerequisite expertise of the industry, the goal was to make Tranched client-facing, accessible, and simpler to use.

After adopting the design system and studying recurring patterns to make each section of the app more connected and accessible, these were the results achieved.
Primary workflow reduced from 9 to 4 clicks , contextual actions surfaced inline, reducing decision overhead by 56%.
Unified design system with a single interaction language, consistent affordances across all redesigned surfaces.
Inline error recovery with plain-language explanations and suggested next actions, self-serve resolution up, ticket volume down.
Team
The Design and Engineering team, especially the front-end, had a new, clear channel where initial ideation sometimes started on the design side and was then discussed together later, or sometimes they started with brainstorming.
Engineers now have a clear guideline to follow, and most of the app is componentised, on both the design and code side, increasing coherence and speed while building.
Design & the company founder
With a builder-CEO who is very involved in the process, my position started in a more traditional way, discussing improvements, reviewing designs, and handovers to devs, before shifting to creating a new type of relationship and workflow.
The company founder, with 20 years of experience in the sector and a clear vision of what he want to propose to clients and the market, started vibe-coding his ideas and pushed them in a test environment on git-hub so that me and the engineers could take a look.
My role shifted in testing and collecting feedback regularly from Tranched users to improve what we already have live and propose new solutions, while discussing with the founder and engineer team the new features and aligning the vibe coded version with the rest of the app UI.
This last task, even if still in an experimental stage, was done partially by me with a design-ai-code workflow implementation, where I am able to modify the UI of production code and push the updates on git for a review with the front-end engineers. This was done to foster team collaboration and increase speed.
